Book Club
YO Falcons,
Book Club:Students, book club will meet today in room 51 at 4:00.We will be choosing a new book for the second semester.Everyone is invited to attend!
Spring Show auditions:Auditions for the spring show will be today from 4:15 to 5:30 in ,the AWESOME, ms.Cole's room,11.
Congrats:we would like to congratulate Tsrina Islam for being the ONLY student from Dan F. Long to get an award for the reflections contest.AND a good job to everyone else who tried.
BIRTHDAY:Yesterday was Ms. Davilla's birthday ,and since we weren't here yesterday, happy late birthday!

Celebration shout out:Congratulations to :Ms.Keefe's 7Th 5Th and 2Nd periods, Ms.Everett's 1st and 3rd, Mr.Magnis' 4Th, Ms. Crystals 2Nd and 3rd periods, Ms. Davilla's 1st period ,and Ms.Armstrong's 1st, 2Nd ,3rd ,and 6Th periods.

New Tutorials Policy:Everybody who doesn't have a green tag is obligatexd to go to tutorials for the next 3 weeks. You need to be here by 8:10 if you dont, it could result in a step 4!

Attention ANYONE interested in the Spring Show Auditions: Auditions for the Spring Show are Tuesday January 27, and Wednesday January 28 from 4pm to 5:30. EVERYONE can tryout you don't have to be in theater! Auditions will be in ,the awesome, Ms.Cole's room, room 11.
Attention Mr.Magnes' 2nd and 4th period classes:Congratulations to Mr.Magnes' 4th and 2nd period classes for superior performance on the Texas Benchmark Test.
Practice TAKS :Students we hope you all did well today because tomorrow you have to do it all again.We have another day of Practice Reading TAKS so get a good sleep and eat a good breakfast.

FZA fellowship of zen athletes
FZA will now be moving the meting to Wednesday afternoon not in the morning
and just a remider that this week we will be foucsing on archery and tea
crime stopers tip,URGENT
after school yesterday ,all of the toilet seats were tooken from the boys bathroom we have some toliet seat criminals on the loose. How you can help, if you have any imformation to help lead to this tip or any imformation that can lead to these seats geting back you will get some green in your pocket and the seats back on p.s. your name will be anonymous

now for some facts for the day
.there are 18 diff. shapes in the animal crackers zoo cookies
.tableclothes were originaly meat to be served as towel with wich dinner guest could wipe there hands and faces after eating
.forest fires move faster up hill than down hill
. this will creep all the girls out see how many girls use lip stick after this most lipstick contains fish scales.

Unclear List
Detentions start this week, so pay off all your fines. If you don't pay off your fines you will have to stay for 3 hours for detention when everyone else gets to go home at12.

Time is running out! Don't forget to pre-order your yearbooks before it's too late. You can turn in your 25$ cash or check into the front office or to Mrs. Sartain in rm. 117. Also 8th graders, there is still time to turn in your baby pictures to be featured into the yearbook.

The celebration wheel is getting an update!!! Do to the success of the candy canes we decided to keep it going!!! Now you can get an airhead if you are able to spin the wheel, so work hard!!!!!

Unclear List Is Here

Students you need you to pay off your unclear list fines. Remember if your on the unclear list and you don't pay your fine then you will be serving a 3 hour detention next week during the early release days when everyone else will be going home at 12:00!!
8th graders: The deadline to turn in applications for the academies is drawing near. All portions of the application packet must be turned in to your counselor by Friday, January 9. Check with your counselor if you have any questions or concerns.
For the celebration wheel we will now be giving out airheads along with the prize you win!!! You can pick your own flavor, so students work hard so you can be able to get this reward!!

Welcome back falcons,
Hope you had an awesome winter break, and enjoyed your time off with your family!!!!!!
While you were gone many of our teachers and staff celebrated their birthday over the holidays! Lets give a big shout out to Mr.Fox, Coach Farst, Mrs.Hays, and Mrs.Sartain!!!!!!!!!
