sorry for all the technical difficulties we have been having lately....we are short on people.

green team: if u like climbing trees and if u like breathing or even if u like the color green then green team is just the thing for you. the meeting will be tomorrow morning during tutorials in ms. Johnsons room.

Pta fundraiser: will kick off tomorrow. you will get more info from your 4th period teacher.

UIL UPDATE!
you have to sign up for a UIL event before this Thursday.... we have events like: social studdies, math, science, listing skills, maps graphs and charts and much more!

7Th grade volleyball: there will be a game today. A team's game will start at 5:30, B team's game will be at 6:30, and C team's game will be at 7:30. our opponent is Apollo and the games will be at Apollo

8Th grade volleyball: there will be a game today.A team's game will start at 5:30 and B team's game will be at 6:30. our opponent is Apollo and the game will be here at Long.

Green team

Hey falcons its Wednesday!

Green team- If you are interested in being in green team and saving the earth one recycle bin at a time then listen up! Green team will be meeting in room 110 tomorrow morning during tutorials for the first time this year. You can contact Mr.K or Mrs.Johnson before or after school and talk to them about it. Remember that last year we did such a great job at saving money that we are getting a new solar panel for the school. we would love to see you there!

FCA- An FCA meeting will be on Tuesday at 7:50 in the competition gym so invite you friends and come on in!

spelling bee- If you like to spell and would like to participate in this years spelling bee, practices will be today after school in Mrs. Enge's room (129)

i-bot - All students who are interested in robots can go to the first i-bot meeting on Thursday at 4:00 pm in Mr.K's room (room 8). we will be discussing what the challenges for this year and when the competitions are. this is open to all 6Th 7Th and 8Th graders and to anyone who would like to compete or even just play with Lego's.

DI- meeting will be after school today in room 8. see Mr. K.

One act play- Audition for the one act play "
you cant take it with you" are tomorrow and Thursday . Tomorrow's auditions are from 4-5 and on Thursday from 4:15-5:30.

Schedule Changes must be submitted September4th, turn in your form to the Counselor's Office and must have a parent letter requesting the change attached.

Yearbooks and Spellings

If you are interested in being a part of this year's yearbook club, you will need to attend an important informational meeting next Tuesday, September 8th, either before or after school in Mrs. Sartain's room, room 117. Yearbook activities will include designing pages, photography, photo selection, theme development and much, much more, Yearbook Club is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Hope to see you there!

Have you seen the fill in the blank questions in the bathrooms? Well if you like to spell, then participate in Dan F. Long's Spelling bee, please attend all practices on Tuesday mornings in Mrs. Peete's Room (116) or Tuesday afternoons in Mrs. Enge's Room (129).
