Attention 8th graders, you will be going on an informational adventure to the high school you will be going to next year to learn about it. Oh Yeah, you will go on Thursday so remember to turn in your permission slip today!

Soccer:
The soccer games have been rescheduled to today at 5 and 6 o'clock, so come and support your falcons!

Library

Falcons, remember to turn in all of your library books today. The last day to take AR tests are next Friday the 21st.

There will be a beginner band concert tonight at 7:00!

Today is the last day to sign up for Robocamp! Please talk to your counselor for further details. 7th and 8th grade students can begin registering for online summer high school credit courses. The courses being offered are Health, PE, Business Information Systems, and speech. Stop by the counseling office for more information.

Internet Safety

Robo camp: Robocamp 2010 includes young women entering 7th-10th grade (14 yes or older) to enginerring, Robtics and computer science. If you like robotics, then see your counselor for information about how to attend this exciting Camp!

Soccer: There is a soccer game tonight so come out and support your fellow falcons!

Internet Safety: Did you know that the majority of teens believe posting personal information or photos on a public blog or social networking site is unsafe. However 62%% of teens have posted photos of themselves on the internet. Falcons today in fourth period you will receive an internet safety booklet to take home and share it with your parents.

ROBO CAMP

Internet Safety (Not so) Fun Fact: Approximately 1 in 10 teens have cyber bullied someone online or by text message and 1 in 5 have been cyber bullied by someone else. A substantial amount of teens agree bullying online is worse than bullying in person. 2/3s think it's a serious problem.

Swim Team: Swim team Tryouts are today at 4:30 in the Natortuim! so good Luck :D

Fca: there will be a fca meeting today after school in coach gillis' room.

Internet Safety: today was day two of internet sfaety week. Todays (not so fun) fact.....1 in 5 teens have participated in inappropriate photo messages and that teens can be registered as sex offenders for doing this......uh oh. :\ We also showed a internet safety video, if you would like to see it you can go to our recording of today's episode :)

FMR- Hillary

Hey Falcons! (:

There will be a crime stoppers meeting tomorrow in Mrs. Pecachek's room during tutorial time. Today and tomorrow(5/3 and 5/4) will be the high school swim team tryouts at 4:30-Standridge stadium.

This week is internet safety week. This week we will focus each day on something that will help keep you safe online by discussing or showing a video. Today's topic is about digital etiquette AKA netiquette.
