TAKS is Coming
Falcons,
FBN Friday Book Review:
The name is Hunger Games by Suzanna Collins. Its set in North America but the only people there are separated into 12 districts and one Capital. The “country” is called Panem and because of a previous revolt, people in the districts are prohibited from contacting people from other districts, furthermore, each district has to send one girl and one boy to Panem where they train for and fight in a brutal game called the Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games, the competitors are in an awesome arena where they fight to the death for the view pleasure of all Panem to see. The story centers around the boy and girl sent to the games from District 12, a romance that can’t work, a fight to live, and other multiple small things. I love the way the author writes and the entire plot line. I would recommend this book for anyone who doesn’t mind a little romance mixed in with a lot of action and gore.
- 8th grade Math and Reading TAKS tests will be on Monday and Tuesday! Eat a good breakfast and get plenty of sleep.
- The cast of the Wizard of OZ needs to come to school at 10:00 pm sharp on Saturday.
