FBN ran on a skeleton crew today due to the 5th grade Extravaganza this morning in the cafeteria...Thanks to Ms. Cole for helping out today. At the Extravaganza, 5th graders learned about the various Fine Arts opportunities available here at Long....such as Band and Orchestra.
Black History Month: Fact of the Day
Maya Angelous's autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, is the fist non-fiction work by an African American woman to make the best-seller list. She also wrote and read her poem "On the Pulse of the Morning" at President Bill Clinton's inauguration.
NJHS: Pasta for Pennies (week 1 update)
In 5th place, Ms. Powell...in 4th place, Ms. Cole....in 3rd Place, Coach Nokes....in 2nd Place, Ms. Little......and in 1st Place, Mr. VanBemmel. Congrats to these teachers and their classes.
